Timeline of the Future
This catalog chronicles a unique moment in the history of science fiction—when teenagers in basements and garages used mimeograph machines to publish fanzines, fueling the rise of "American samizdat" and shaping the world of amateur self-publishing and nerd culture. The design of the catalog is inspired by the bold, experimental spirit of that era but with a modern twist. Drawing inspiration from barcodes and featuring the futuristic typeface "Cy," the design blends retro influences with a sleek, contemporary look. The layout is clean and structured, reflecting both the DIY ethos of early fandom and the forward-thinking energy of the science fiction community.
